Glenfiddich Winter Storm Series 03

You might remember that Glenfiddich released two experimental expressions about a year ago; the IPA experiment and the Project XX. Now we have the third experimental expression, the Glenfiddich Winter Storm - Experimental Series 03, released late 2017. Inspired by Malt Master Brian Kinsman's visit to the Peller Estate winery in Canada where they use grapes frozen on the vine to create a dessert wine. Matured for 21 years, the Glenfiddich single malt is then finished in these ice-wine casks for up to six months. Nose: A bouquet of tropical fruit and candied sweets are perfectly balanced with underlying wine notes. Palate: Soft sweet notes reminiscent of candied fruit and Turkish delight develop into flavours of mouth watering lychee. The fusion of sweet flavours is soon met with a rich drying sensation from the ice-wine. Finish: Short and crisp. Batch No Two, Experimental Series #03 Alc: 43% Bottle Size: 700ml
